Hi Latha,

Your friend is right when he says that IT field has huge package, onsite opportunity, and opportunity to work with MNC's

If he has 5+ years of experience in recruitment, then he should prefer to move out of recruitment and work as a generalist or as a functional consulatnat in SAP HR/ Oracle HRMS or he can choose any one specialization like Training, Labour Laws etc because there is very less scope of career growth in recruitment for senior persons with 5+ experience in recruitment.

But as of now market condition is not good for SAP HR functional consultants. They have to struggle hard before getting the right break. They should go for certification to enhance their profile which costs very high.

Sasmita

Sudarshan,

Nice thinking and good spirit.

But end of the day everyone works for Job satisfaction and career growth.

Management always values HR persons work in time of hiring needs, as HR are responsible for hiring the best talents for the organization. But when it comes for due recognition they say its not a big deal in finding candidates for an open role.

Simple example is no company is willing to pay good salary to HR persons, where as they pay even 100% hike to other employees, as they feel the HR is not worthy and they don't want to waste their budget in paying more.
During the recession period, HR was the first department in every organization to face layoff.

We can always think that we are the best and we will do our work with full dedication, but at the end when the work is not recognized, it always demotivates and decreases our interest level and creates frustration
