A kindergarten teacher has decided to let her class play game. The teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes. Each potato will be given a name of a person that the child hates, so the number of potatoes that a child will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people he/she hates.
So when the day came, every child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 potatoes. The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the plastic bag wherever they go (even to the toilet) for 1 week.
Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5 potatoes also had to carry heavier bags. After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had finally ended.
The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you for 1 week?"
The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they go.Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game.
The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime?"
The hatred if we carry in our heart will make us handicapped by taking away love and affection apart from the stench it generates.One cannot live like that forever with hatred in heart and smile on the face.
I see how people develop this hatred and stores them in their heart so that even if they smile before you the hatred inside them burns their heart and consumes all their positive traits.

Tell you a true story.....!
One day a woman came to meet Mahatma Gandhi ji and said "bapu he is my son, doctor has adviced not to take sweets any more but he is not listening to me, he eats sweets daily, please ask him to leave sweets for some time"
Bapu said - ok take him to me after 10 days
She went and on the 11th day she came back with her son.
Bapu take him to the room talk to him for 5-10 mins and took promise from him that he will not eat sweets for few months till he is not cured.
woman looked him surprisingly and asked 'bapu' why you waited for 10 days, all this you spoke to him was so casual that you might have spoken that day also
'bapu' replied very politely " that day i was habitual of eating sweets daily, first i tried to get rid of my habit before that how can i ask him to stop eating sweets"
The same i do and believe.

That Gandhiji story is an eye opener to all those who preach but do not practice.

after reading this i realized that there are many things which we already know or which we follow always but don't realize ... like your potatoes story, we try to avoid those things which gives us unpleasant feelings but we fail to realize the true meaning of it and therefore continue carrying some unwanted thoughts in our mind

I was very angry woman, very short tempered, keep things in my mind for a long, very much affected by the things happening around me, there was a thought of revenge in me if any thing happened and above all always tried to challenge the destiny or you can say GOD.
In short i was very spoiled or scattered personality but today i believe my Almighty GOD and left every thing on him only,
how he will make me able to live in this beautiful world,
how can i feel the positiveness around me,
how can i forgive and regret whole heartedly
how can thank my parents (though i can never know what they have done for me, it needs a whole article to tell what parents are for kids and what they do)
how can i respect others and my self respect
how can i handle the bad and the good situations (both takes us away from the reality- This will Pass Too)
At last
How Can I Close my Eyes, take a Deep Breath and Smile (Bindaas Muskarao) for all those things God has given me and Realize HE IS ALWAYS THERE HOLDING MY HAND
i am really happy i m with my best buddy and best parents other then this nothing matters much - All will Pass Too and God will handle as he is doing his best.
When God solves our problems we have Faith in his abilities, but when he does not solve our problems HE HAS FAITH IN OUR ABILITIES
Few added lines for the potato story
"when people Hurt you think them as a sand papers(smiling! good), they may Rub and Scratch you painfully but eventually you will end up Smooth and Polished while they End up"
It requires a great courage to admit your flaws!

While I have read elsewhere what you have posted here, what interests me is that you appear to have internalized the spirit of these thoughts ! A pretty difficult task coz most of the time, most of us are moved by reading such thoughts but when it comes to practice, we (and that includes me !!!) hesitate.
