Am PROUD to be an Indian !

Most of the replies have rightly mentioned the reasons why we can be proud of our country. I would highlight just one very significant aspect :-

Managing 1.3 billion people, given the level of individual freedom Indians enjoy, is, I believe the greatest job on earth ! (If you dont believe, just ask any HR Manager : )))))).

No other country on earth has :-
a) these many numbers, combined with
b) this level of freedom, and yet managed to demonstrate
c) such significant achievements !!!

There are two very striking aspects of today's world - particulary the young generation :
1. hardly any thought for sharing (with the lesser privileged)
2. the ingenious ability to stretch (like a rubber-band) one's morality.
Your post gives me an opportunity to examine on these two aspects.

There is a reward for punctual attendance : it's called the eligibility to receive a salary.

Set up the margin of freedom (e.g., 3 hrs late in 30 days is OK) you want to allow your employees ; then start accounting anything over and above as leave / loss of pay. To begin with, subject yourself to this rule ; all will fall in line !
