Dear Friends,

I just wanna know WHY WE ARE ALL HERE IN THIS FORUM ? is that just to make an attendence that some of your friend has added and you respond ? If it is so then i think very soon this forum is going to be a meeting place for friends only.

Had anyone taken care that only a few bunch of people may be 1% or 2 % of the total strength of HR FORUM try and post best of HR related topics and members here do not even have time to go through those generals. I do not wanna say that we should only discuss, but we should enjoy too meeting different people from different cultures and backrounds, but at the same time we should not forget that we are on HRLINK ...............

I am sorry to say friends, very few people are sincere to this forum and who are doing justice. I request those people who are least interested in this forum to kindly quit or do justice to the topics and generals posted on this forum.

I know i dont have any right to say all this but i luv being transparent. If i have hurted anyone anyhow i sincereily apologize for the same.

I agree to some extent to what you want to convey...but also there is a time availability factor for each individual..they have so many other jobs to be done, but there is no harm in being part of this group and enjoy the articles posted or keep posting whenever possible. Its just my opinion..Its always wonderful to know people and their views..

Hi Dilip,

We all go thru this phase in life when we meander from meaningful to meaningless. I agree with you when you say there are hardly any articles worth spending time on hrlink nowadays. I will tell you, I myself have been a little less attentive to it because I didnt find any article worth spending time on.

But that was my mistake. I told myself two days back, that I would add whatever little I can in my own way by finding articles where I can contribute or else I would post topics which would give rise to meaningful discussions. I can understand your anguish, cos I have been there before. But I guess we seniors need to take the cue.

I also suggest banning some members who only google and post copied articles. I have in fact blocked two such gentlemen because I was fed up of 20-30 pings from them daily. When somebody posts an article, there should be a follow up too. These kind of gentlemen are happy to increase their scores on hrlink. We are better off without them.

Other members, your views please.

Hi Dilip,

I remember posting a forum about being attached to HRLink. (not mentioning the word “addicted” since some members said it’s not good to use it)

But yes, we have lost the true essence of HRlink, if you compare with the earlier days…guess recession has taken it over, even here…

We used to have more forums, questions/answers, debates posted on HR related topics…& I, personally have learnt a lot from them…apart from getting to know so many great colleagues here & have made really good friends…

But since late, as Harish had mentioned we just get some copy/paste materials… or some jokes & puzzles shared, most of them old ones…which disappoint you while you spend time & navigate to that page...

They are needed, yes, but only just for a refreshment from the daily routine...
not as a main topic to be discussed & circulated on and on...

As Srilata has shared, we all have our own responsibilities at office…I personally, login every morning without fail & keep refreshing the page now and then, in the hope of getting some new & informative articles or debates, but, alas, nothing new…

Even I was forced to block some few members…just because, I really don’t have time for browsing through so many unwanted pings which consume half the time, everyday!!!

Hope, now that this topic has been brought out, all of us, HR professionals, would contribute more to help retain the cause of this site & all the great things it had gifted to many of us during these few months…

Mr. Dilip,

Thank you for your post and I am really sorry to say this.

The responses to any forum depends upon the quality of discussions the members post.I myself used to be a active member of this forum before, but now a days if we look at any of the discussions posted here, most of them are just CCP from Google and they are not pretty interesting too.

And one more thing, daily when I Login to this forum early in the morning, I find 20-30 pings, out of which more than 80% of them will be from a single person. I find myself just skipping them and in the process I miss few good ones too.

So, a small request to all the HRLink members is to please kindly post some relevant and good quality topics which would be useful. And if possible try to post our day to day queries or problems we face.

Regards
Pradeep.B
