Do You think that Indecent Language should be used on a professional network site or at professional work place ? i .e BABE.

Please feel free to share your experiences and viwes on this Topic as i feel most of the women are facing this problem, but they are apprehensive to share it with family or friends.

I think the use of such language depends entirely on the two individuals concerned. In today's industry where the boundaries have shrunk between the genders, it would depend purely on the individual perception. Any organization which goes about defining the rules of language to be used to work place would find it difficult. Rather, its easier to combat it at a personal level. All it takes is for the girl to mention the very first time someone addresses her as BABE, that "excuse me, I would appreciate if you can call me me XYZ". I am sure any male colleague would be intelligent enough to get the cue with this and would not dare to go beyond.
Cheers !!!

This is due to the influence on our culture. This can be changed only when each and every individual think about it. Not only the "Babe" some other words are there which are indecent but most of we use it daily by knowingly or unknowingly.
So I promise that I will not use it from today.

Please friends lets share your promises and let our culture long live.

This is a note that was circulated in an office:

It goes like this.. It has been brought to the managements attention that some individuals have been using foul language during the execution of duties....To this end, our HR dept has compiled a list of code phrase replacements so that the proper exchange of idead and information can continue in an effective manner without offence to our more easily offended employess... The phrases are

Old New
Tell Someone who gives a F**K Have you informed the management
You have no F***G clue You need more training on this
Get out of my face, dogbreathe I dont think i need your help
This place has gone rat Sh*t This place is untidy
F**K off smart ass Well done
Who the f**K are you Are you new here
Boy, are you in the Sh*t Does the boss know about this
No F***Ker told me I wasnt given that piece of information

The list goes on and the best one...

Shove a brush up my ar*e and i will Would you kike me to do that for you as
sweep the f***ng floor as wel well?

i hate this word..
lots of men use dese words..especially da wannabes who want 2 sound cool..
they actually need to b told..how uncool they sound...n hw fake....girls actually get repelled by dis word...
my advice to all my lovely sisters out dere...be absolutely strict while encountering such situations..tell dem u dont like the usage of such improper words...better tell them in a tone tht u r telling sumthing of knowledge to dem....

I think use of such language depends on two people who are in conversation, if the other person felt bad or embarrassed then the person should tell that he felt embarrased and the other person must apologies and should not hurt his/her feelings next time and try to avoid such words. However avoid using such words which gives a wrong impression.

Hi Rajkumari......As our frenz had discussed usage of indecent language is the outcome of cultural change which we r facing right now....if any gal feels she is hurt or embarrassed by such wordz better to put in a polished way to the other person.

well, i agree with all those who said it depends on the two individuals...

but we need to remember we are working as professionals, no more in college or a camp.... so there are some particular points & ethics which needs to be kept in mind and followed as well...

using offensive /slang language doesnt make one COOL !!!... it shows how unprofessional he/she is actually....

and yes, 99% girls DO NOT like to be called BABE !!!

hope to have a healthy corporates one day !...
