hi alok,
What pradeep has suggested , you to go through the link and another point to be noted is preparing of ur resume, comm skills are fine in every job they are mandatory.
first what is ur aim is to enter into HR or any job u r looking for. If HR first brush up the knowledge in basic topics in HR. I have seen u know in 100 only 1/2 candidates who really go through the subject and attend for the interview.
I feel the subject and also ur project plays a major role for the freshers. Go through ur acedamic project which is more imp.

Hi Alok,
Please do list down the basic questions that are most possible to be asked... and ensure that you prepare your self to answer them...
Most common for fresher, esp MBA HR.. would be
1. Tell about your self
2. What made you take MBA and HR
3. Whats the role of HR
4. Why do you want to apply for the position
5. What salary do you expect.. and so on....
feel confident about your answers and try to avoid giving generic answers .. like " i took HR because, i like being with people and i have skill of motivating " and things like that which will not impress the interviewer...
you can check http://1stjob.blogspot.com/ and search in the archives for more inputs....
you can also drop in to our office to meet in person

hi alok,
Greetings of the day,
yes,no doubt wat rest of the members have suggested is certainly going to benefit u and is mandatory.... but apart from all these things i would suggest you to understand the difference between the recruitment and selection.
The qualifications etc can get u into the interview room but wat will help u get the appointment letter is "x factor" that is explicitly found in few poeple and i.e. "Soft skills".Dont forget to focus on your soft skills when u are being interviewed by the interview panel.
Be optimistic,confident and true.
Good Luck...May God Bless You
