National Skills Registry (NSR) is set-up and managed by NDML on behalf of NASSCOM www.nasscom.in. NSR is a web-based system hosting a fact sheet of information about existing and prospective employees of Indian IT & ITeS / BPO industry. This can be used by the IT & ITeS / BPO industry and its clients as a credible source of information about the IT Professionals (ITPs) who are being employed or put on client assignments. The system will also enhance the image of Indian IT & ITeS / BPO industry as one that has raised the bars on security standards in pursuit of excellence and client satisfaction. This will promote industry's claim for bigger share of global business on one hand and will reduce the cost of repetitive background checks on ITPs, on the other.

Dear Friends,
Do U think a Common Forum/association is required to address various HR issues faced by us? Please send the suggestions.
yes, as some one could not recognize us in their own motion

I feel a common association for recruitment professionals would be a good idea. But considering the dynamics of a HR professionals career, I feel it would be even more far-fetching if we had a HR forum instead which would bring all the aspects of HR into one place and ensure seamless addressing of common issues and knowledge sharing. I am saying this because a person may not be in Recruitment for a long time per se, but would want to move to other verticals of HR within sometime.
But to begin with, it would be a good idea to get a common platform and perhaps take it from there depending on the response from the young professionals.
However, a word of caution : A common association needs to be more professional aspects driven rather than a platform to exchange jokes and google-research material copied as forum topics, just to score points and become part of the leaderboard. It would take a lot of creative communities which appeal to the young professionals (like on this site) to make them participate and make the best use of such a unique platform. Do let me know if you feel I can help in any small/big way.
Cheers !!!
