There are two answer for this question:
i. It is mandatory. Now Why Mandatory. Because you have to register with Regional Office under Provident Fund & Miscellaneious Provision Act 1952. So you have to show PF deduction in the Salary Slip.
ii. It is not mandatory. Now why not mandatory. Because if you take examption for the PF for your employees so no need to give pay/salary slip.

So, you have to bifurcate accordingly to salary (Gross) of an individual employee.
