Dear All,
Please find the below mentioned few "Interview Tips" which would come handy when you attending an interview for the first time.
PRE-INTERVIEW MODULE
TO DO LIST
- Find out details about job profile, locations & responsibilities.
- Search the internet and other information mediums for any latest developments on the company.
- Competitor information of the company.
- Check about work culture from any known current /
previous employee.
- If possible research about the future guidance & direction the company intends taking, and access if it would be in-line with your careers aspirations.
Interview Checklist
- Take a printout of the interview call letter or carry original call letter (if sent by mail).
- Print 2 copies of your latest resume or CV. Use laser printer for best results.
- Attach a color photograph to each resume. The interviewer may forget your name, but not your face. Will be useful, when he/she is grading you afterwards (In case of mass hiring).
- Carry 2 pens and all your certificates & mark sheets for the interview.
- Select a formal shirt, pant & tie and have then ironed & washed (if required).
- Always choose clothes that you feel comfortable wearing.
- Do not forget to carry a clean handkerchief.

- Go to bed early….. A properly rested brain is more alert & responsive to interviewers

- Coordinator with ‘Kind attention to interviewer’ in subject line.
- As soon as you can (on the same day, as the interview), send them a thank you letter, stating your date of interview & post applied for in subject line.
- Emphasize your suitability for the post & interest in working for them, in the ‘Thank You’ letter.
- Don’t be shy or forgetful in following up on the final selection process. But don’t over do things.
- Be patient, but at the same time show interest in the process & end result (the job in this case).
- If offered the job, carefully & effortlessly negotiate your CTC, salary, medical, travel, leave allowances & other components.
- If you are not offered the job, move on & start all over again with a fresh mind & ‘Never Say Die’ attitude.
- Thank them for sparing time from their busy schedules to interview you.
