Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change. Only a year later and Earth Hour had become a global sustainability movement with more than 50 million people across 35 countries participating. Global landmarks such as the, Sydney Harbour Bridge, The CN Tower in Toronto, The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and Rome’s Colosseum, all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent by the hour.
In March 2009, hundreds of millions of people took part in the third Earth Hour. Over 4000 cities in 88 countries officially switched off to pledge their support for the planet, making Earth Hour 2009 the world’s largest global climate change initiative.
Earth Hour 2010 takes place on Saturday 27 March at 8.30pm (local time) and is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community throughout the world. It is a call to stand up, to take responsibility, to get involved and lead the way towards a sustainable future. Iconic buildings and landmarks from Europe to Asia to the Americas will stand in darkness. People across the world from all walks of life will turn off their lights and join together in celebration and contemplation of the one thing we all have in common – our planet.

Let us show we care; let us show that every person counts.
Let's stop talking and pretending to be concerned about our future and start acting now because we are the ones who can give an example, can make a difference, can teach our children to act responsibly, not as careless as we have been so far.

Each of us has examples of climate changes in the last years. We all feel them and it is much more than a theoretical threat. It is already late but at least the major step is done now, by becoming aware of how we've used our natural reserves, how we took everything for granted, not thinking about the future, seeing only the immediate effects and looking only for our comfort.
My kids almost didn't remember what snow means in the last few years, but this year we had a strange winter, with temperatures raising from -20 degrees C to 2-5 degrees in one week.
Now nothing looks like I remember from my childhood: the woods, the land, the food we're eating or the air we're breathing.
We're living difficult times, facing real problems and we have to preserve what we still have so our kids can have a place to grow, to live, to love, to work, to dream, to hope.

This is because of few ppl who think this is a good topic read and forget and don’t want to do against it. They don’t know what they are giving to next generation and also don’t know how they will survive against this climate change we have to think about that we should stand against this together otherwise no live will remain on this earth.
God bless us
