1. Responsible for Providing Delivery Governance

Responsible for supporting the project scope, project commercials including ensuring the project Profit and Loss, revenue-recognition discipline and organization processes

Compliance to HP Delivery Metrics including quality, management of risks etc

Responsible for client management and striking a good balance between managing client expectations as well as managing ambiguity and conflicts, suitably so as to ensure client delight

Responsible for excellence in delivery and thought leadership - effectively becoming a trusted advisor, thereby enabling creating referencibility and also help in account mining

Managing change suitably, and effectively delivering additional scope items through change requests

Building efficiencies through use of / contribution to reusables, tools, accelerators / IP

Project Staffing and innovative use of partner resources to provide release dollars to operating margin

People Management including goaling for retention targets

Reporting both from a client engagement perspective, as well as HP reporting expectation standpoint

Providing guidance on PeopleSoft application knowledge towards engaging key stakeholders including the project team - both the client`s as well as HP team`s

Validation of the schedule and effectively managing the program to schedule; Tracking the project deliverables (including payment milestones) against the schedule to avoid any overrun on schedule/ cost

Industrialize towards transitioning the project suitably to IDC/ BAS organization, leveraging the off-shore mode and also driving productivity improvement

2. Works in a matrix mode to assist Oracle/ PeopleSoft Practice Head, India and region


Providing inputs on delivery methodology

In hiring and grooming talent in the delivery teams

Vetting solutions from a delivery perspective

Mutualizing resources across multiple projects, BAS, partners effectively

3. Identifies opportunities for point solutions and accelerators thereby helping topline and bottom line growth.

4. Coach other team members and help in ensuring higher talent retention and enabling succession planning

Preferred Experience:
12-15 experience primarily in PeopleSoft across practitioner and leadership experience, including implementation experience in PeopleSoft HRMS preferably on the latest release (PeopleSoft 9.1)

End-to-end project management leveraging partner resources, preferably in a distributed model

Experience working in a matrix mode

Excellent people skills, with a passion for leading from the front, and happy to roll up sleeves

Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and conflict through negotiation, keeping the larger objectives in sight

Ability to manage the scope in a dynamic environment and be able to tweak the delivery smartly - not jeopardizing the schedules

Strong faculty in risk management and building consensus and ability to elicit and establish mitigation paths

Demonstrated ability to manage project in avoiding slipping into red, and effectively steering it out in the instance it did.

Credibility of being a trusted advisor and being a people leader.

Distinguished record of managing projects to deliver revenue and margin targets.
