Provide HR leadership and consultation to business leaders and line managers on the strategic and people-related matters impacting their business. Work collaboratively with business leads to provide HR innovative solutions, approaches and value, focused on driving the success of their business.

The role is a senior position, business focused in a fast moving and challenging environment, promoting good practice and the fair and equitable treatment of all employees. The successful candidate will quickly develop an understanding of the business agenda tying that in with their HR expertise. They will be results driven and act with confidence at all levels of the business ensuring that the `big picture` is presented.

Key Accountabilities:
1. To act as an ambassador for the HR function.
2. To build a strong and effective HR department for the EOG group in India to ensure that our most important assets are nurtured and looked after.
3. To take responsibility for aligning the HR strategy for India with the rest of the organisation, translating strategy into solutions, actions and results.
4. To ensure the people-perspective is represented in business decisions so implications are understood and the workforce is proactively managed.
5. To assess the impact of business decisions on the workforce and provide solutions to optimise opportunities and mitigate any downsides.
6. To identify shortcomings, devise, plan and implement HR policies in consultation with the business heads as need arises
7. To take managerial responsibility for HR employees in Chennai and Hyderabad, including their on-going development and performance management
8. To identify issues and trends within the business exploring the underlying causes of attrition in order to provide an effective solution.
9. To champion HR initiatives across the business.
10. To drive the implementation of organisational wide initiatives within EOG, with a focus on Talent and Performance Management.
11. To initiate and influence change management programmes whilst acting as a change agent, leading, supporting and contributing to change initiatives.
12. To coach senior management and individual contributors where necessary.
13. To proactively build relationships across the business, providing HR consultancy across India on an on-going basis.

Duties:
1. To build ongoing relationship with business leaders and participate as required with management teams in supporting strategy, evaluating future business plans and determining HR needs and priorities.
2. To participate in the deployment of EOG plans to effectively communicate business strategies and objectives.
3. To consult with and support business leaders regarding any or all of the following: transformation and change initiatives, people decisions and actions, organisational design, reward optimisation, workforce planning, business diagnostics, productivity analyses, HR information, retention and engagement, employee communication, culture management, diversity and HR programs and services.
4. To support a high performance culture to maximum individual and team effectiveness. Provide advice and to counsel manager and employees on employee relations matters.
5. To build strong partnerships with managers, providing them with innovative solutions in a commercial context which are geared to the needs of the business.
6. To be proactive in the implementation, application and continuous improvement of HR processes, policies and practices.
7. To identify emerging human capital challenges within EOG and to sponsor efforts to create improvement opportunities and effective solutions with business impact.
8. To work closely with the HR team to identify and focus HR solutions on organisations outcomes and improve employee and organisation performance and productivity, delivering practices that achieve business results.
9. As required, to broker and utilise the corporations HR network of resources to develop optimal solutions to complex challenges. Escalate issues as appropriate.
10. To provide HR statistical data on information such as hiring, attrition, length of service and other general MIS data as and when required.
11. To deputise for team members as and when required.
12. To take responsibility for identifying own and team`s training and developmental needs on an on-going basis.
13. To make presentations regularly to staff/senior management on HR initiatives
14. To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager/VP on a permanent or temporary basis.
