Well, I would completely agree with Harish, who said it depends on individuals and the kind of relation they share or a comfy level they share. If it was someone with whom i gel well, i wudnt mind him / her calling me that name.... If it was someone whom i choose to not get friendly with, or dont gel with, I would shun that person down by saying him exactly the same words harish said : "Excuse me, I would prefer myself being called as xyz... " or "Excuse ME - My name is xyz"


But yes i agree, not only for the word babe.... but using slang language or badwords, spoils the professional environment, and makes an office more like a college campus.

One should know the limits and know exactly where to draw the line while working with opposite Sex.
