" Program Manager–Telecom Practice" (Practice Based Position-Permanent)



Purpose of job

â€Â¢ Manage testing engagements for Clients in Telecom vertical

â€Â¢ Provide support to presales initiatives in the Telecom vertical



Role outline

â€Â¢ Will manage Pre-sales activities including requirements assessment, solutioning, scoping & estimation, proposaling and client presentation).

â€Â¢ Will manage Pilots / PoCs for capability demonstration.

â€Â¢ Will Support in determining ‘fit for purpose’ staffing of projects.

â€Â¢ Independently Manage large project delivery

â€Â¢ Program Manage multiple projects to ensure project quality.

â€Â¢ Will manage Scope, Schedules/Timelines, Reporting, and Team morale for projects and project teams and represent Maveric at Client location.

â€Â¢ Will be responsible for implementation and compliance of and to organisational quality processes and tools in engagements.

â€Â¢ Will report to offshore program management on project-related parameters like Costs, Risks, Vendor-relations.

â€Â¢ Will create and maintain artifacts for the Telecom vertical

â€Â¢ Will provide support to Program Management in creating and presenting solutions in the Telecom vertical.



Top must haves

1. Experience in implementation, transformation or data migration of any BSS/OSS systems

a. OR

Experience in one CRM application (either Oracle or SIEBEL)

b. OR

Experience in configuring, implementing and managing middleware product in telecomm (like TIBCO/IBM MQSeries)

2. Good experience in Solution development and pre-sales support (preferably in the Testing area) with specific focus in the Enterprise Systems Area (Includes verticals like Telecom, Utilities, Government).

3. Strong client facing capabilities with ability to structure and make capabilities / solution presentations.

4. Large project management experience. Should have managed 30 member testing teamsâ€Â¦..with specific experience in handling Fixed Price / Milestone led engagement models

5. Strong exposure to Test Management tools and metrics

6. Should have hands-on experience in the Telecom vertical especially in the wireless space.

7. Should have either been directly responsible for QA activities or leading a composite team of development and testing with complete responsibility.

8. Should have supported clients in the roll out of CRM, Billing, Mediation and Provisioning systems.

9. Experience in bringing out scope of various project engagements, schedule, effort and the related outlay for various projects.

10. Have Exposure in creating proposal estimates and collaterals



Good to have skills

1. 6 years in IT Services (partially in testing)

2. Should have been involved in a Lead / Project management role for at least 3 years

3. Pre-sales experience of at least 2 years

4. Desirable to have experience in rolling out enterprise applications – Oracle suite for telecom operators

5. Experience in practice development/building activities in telecom domain – in consulting or IT services companies

â€Â¢ Any Engineering degree
