Social networking is one of the most sought out solution for sourcing and recruiting employees in companies as it offers an exciting means for linking employers and potential employees. The question is whether it will remain an effective strategy for recruitment in the future or will it lose its magic?

I have used linkedin with full success, and can vouch it has great potential, but sites as facebook are too casual, my question has anybody used facebook and how?

There is also specific skill set community groups on Facebook, i added them and then drop a common status msg about requirement and in case some one is interested will reply u or drop an email to ur given id. It worked out for me but not at great levels.
