Standard formula to calculate attrition

Hi,
can anyone tell me what is the standard formula as per company norms to calculate the attrition rate in any particular comapany.
I have came across many different ways or formula for calculation. so requesting if anyone can tell me a particular formula.

Hi Archna,
There are diff way to calculate attrition ratio. but in that one best and nearest formula i mentioned below which is very help to you.
Attrition Ratio: No. of resign employees * No. of Closing Balance of employees

Notes:
1. it can be calculate monthly & yearly.
2. Closing balnce = ( opening balance + New joinees - Resign employees)
