KPI - Key Performance Indicator, it is the next level of KRA - Key Result Areas
Identify the KRA's of different positions, and inject those KRA's in PMS
when you evaluate the resource performance it is very helpful
The KRA's should not be more than 5
for Example, we take a Software Engineer opening, in my veiw the KRA's of this position are
Bugs Less Programming (KRA) 40 % (KPI)
LOC - Lines of code - should be less (KRA) 20 % (KPI)
Client Communication & Internal communication (KRA) 15 % (KPI)
Documentation (KRA) 15 % (KPI)
Active Participation in team activities (KRA) 10 % (KPI)
at the time of evaluation you sit with evaluater the resource based on the KRA's & KPI's by taking the inputs of evaluater and counsel the resource & award them accordingly
hope this info is helpful to you
