Hello,
If the person is qualified and can able to take a chance in the same orgn. on rolls then he can continue the same.
But where as he is an undergraduate we can't able to estimate a chance in HR career even though he is tallented in performing all HR related functions in ADMIN/HR department in his present position untill he will obtains atleast a diploma in HR.

Hello...
First, check the interest of the person as to which area he/she would like to pursue their career. Though both HR and Admin are co related, they still hold different functional aspects practically. If the person is off roles and is performing his/her role in an efficient manner, they can be absorbed on to the permanent rolls after due consideration of the HR policies of the organization.
But again the person has to be clear in which particular function is s/he interested in.
For any more clarifications, post as a reply to this.

Hello,
Loud thinking doesn't have an end date or cut off time according to me. So though my reply is delayed, here is my thought.
The size of the HR department depends on the size of the Organisation. So the person who takes up the HR job multi-tasks admin. It is not a bad idea to stretch a bit but in the growth plan one needs to decide when to zero down to either HR or Admin. End of the day we should not land doing the wrong job! So depending on which level a person is in, the decision can be taken.
That is my quick summary - we can get many more interesting answers too!
