Since I have friends in India I have started to read about your customs, celebrations to understand more about your fascinating culture, religion and history.
I have thought how different our worlds may seem but also how similar in some cases.
We do light fires to make evil go and wish for a good harvest, but we do it in November. We do have our children singing door to door and wishing our elders for Christmas and on 1st of January, so they will be forever young and healthy and have a prosperous year.
So here we are, so far away, having different religions, but finding similar ways to celebrate Earth, Good and crops.
