6 in 10 HR Professionals Think They`re Underpaid
Well over half of human resources professionals believe that they are underpaid, according to the combined results of a recent HR.BLR.com/Compensation.BLR.com poll.
When asked "How do you feel about your pay?," 60 percent responded "I am underpaid." Meanwhile, 38 percent responded "I am paid just about the right amount." Just 2 percent responded "I am overpaid."
Interestingly, respondents to the HR.BLR.com poll were much more likely to report that they felt underpaid (71 percent) compared with respondents to the Compensation.BLR.com poll (54 percent of whom believed they were underpaid).

it`s true that Hr Professionals are under paid and we put in some much effort to make sure that we hire a right candidate for the project and we negotiate the salary of the the other guys who drop in with us but when it comes to us we compromise for the salary what companies do pay.

I think there are two things attached to this:
1. Regarding Individual pay
2. Regarding HR Professionals becoming the Representatives of the Management.
Every person feels underpaid wht ever may be the pay he/she getting as man is nver happy with wht he is getting. we always asprie for more.
Another perception is that, these days HR role has widened in any company as HR is considered as a representative of the company which itself is a gppd sign for all of us.
So lets feel happy that we represent management and participate in the growth of the company along with individual growth.

Hi everyone,
It is very common that no one would be "satisfied" with the salary paid to them, once they have been asked about it like :: "How do you feel about your pay?"
Its human`s nature to be greedy :) [ I just replied to another topic very similar...]
Yes, even I am underpaid & I know that very well, but still, I know WHY I am doing what I am doing with out concentrating on the pay!
When you love what you do, there is a different satisfaction in it...
I read this somewhere ::
" Do something you love & do it for free...keeping doing till you get perfect in it, then you will realise that you are actually getting paid for it..."
Like this, you not only do something you wish to do, but get rewarded for it as well...
Salaries should not be demanded they are to be rewarded...
Also, being financially comfortable is very very important, its a kind of security, which keeps your mind at ease so that you can do your work with more concentration...
I agree with Sirisha`s thoughts as well :) well said !
