The answer is Both are different terms and Skill is an attribute within Competency. Comptency comprise of 3 elements such as Skill, Knowledge and Attitude.

Competence (or competency) is the ability of an individual to perform a job properly. A competency is a set of defined behaviors that provide a structured guide enabling the identification, evaluation and development of the behaviors in individual employees.

Skill:
An ability and capacity acquired through deliberate, systematic, and sustained effort to smoothly and adaptively carryout complex activities or job functions involving ideas (cognitive skills), things (technical skills), and/or people (interpersonal skills).

I Googled in some site, i got an answer for this question, it would be a people software and Oracle ERP software using by specially US based companies.
May be indian companies also using the same softwares or not, i need to check it

Gratituty: Basic+DA*15*No.of years/26

What is that 15 in the formula.
26 =No of Working days some said what is that 15.

Please clarify this doubt.
