Though U.S. financial crisis forces most of the companies to review their hiring plans, Satyam, the fourth largest IT company in India, has revealed that the it has no plans to rethink about its recruitment targets and will recruit 12,000-15,000 people this year.



S V Krishnan, HR Head, Satyam said, "We will not cut our hiring targets. However the company may postpone some of the new recruitment for next quarter.'





An IT Analyst opines that due to the slowdown in U.S. economy, the Indian IT companies, who mostly depend on the U.S. market for their revenue, had postponed joining dates of new recruits, which is raising doubts about their future. In response, Krishnan assured that Satyam will honor every offer made to the candidate.



"We have not asked anyone to leave the organization." "It is misreported. As part of our appraisal process we identify around five per cent of our associates in the performance improvement category and put them through a structured performance improvement program," he responded to the reports that Satyam has fired 4,500 employees.



"We take action on our bottom-most performers to keep the organization̢۪s efficiencies tight. It is nothing new," he added.
