Job Responsibilities:-
1.0 FINANCIAL
v Achieve Monthly Primary and Secondary Sales Target of the Area for the entire product range.
v Implement the company’s Credit policy and ensure outstanding overdues are maintained within the specified norms / days of the company.
2.0 MANPOWER
v Forecast requirement of FSO(Field Sales Officer) basis growth / geographical area and ensure timely recruitment in accordance with company policy and maintain full strength of FSO(Field Sales Officer) at all times in the area.
v Ensure that the new FSO(Field Sales Officer) are properly inducted into the system as per the laid guidelines.
v Ensure & conduct effective team meetings, adherence to market contact norm, train FSO(Field Sales Officer), communicate company policies and other relevant information and build enthusiasm.
v Familiarize himself with the functions of the FSO(Field Sales Officer) as per the Job Description. Supervise, train, activate & control him by maintaining implementation levels and measuring results.
v Appraise periodically the individual performance of each FSO(Field Sales Officer) against set standards of performance. Identify areas of improvement, develop & implement training plans in consultation with Sales Training manager, HR & RSM. Basis above recommend timely confirmation, increments rewards etc.
v Maintain open communication with FSO(Field Sales Officer) and ensure building & maintaining of enthusiasm & positive attitude.
v Carry out timely disciplinary measures & separation procedures, as appropriate and within the company guidelines.
3.0 MARKET RELATED
4.1 COVERAGE
v Plan town wise coverage basis their population, profile, number of outlets, business potential etc.
v Ensure proper planning of ACPs & PJPs, their implementation for systematic coverage of the territory. Evaluate & modify the same at regular intervals keeping in mind the business growth, outlet expansion, and required coverage frequency & cost effectiveness.
v Ensure that consumer complaints, damaged stocks at trade & distributor level are handled timely and as per the laid down company guidelines.
4.2 DIRECT / INDIRECT DISTRIBUTION
v Set, monitor & ensure Brand wise/ Town wise / FSO(Field Sales Officer) wise distribution targets by extending coverage and range distributions in outlets under direct coverage. Also help FSO(Field Sales Officer) to do the same for his territory.
v Analyse & determine deviations from plans with reasons report and discuss with RSM and take necessary action.
v Identify, activate & control wholesalers in the territory to maximize indirect distribution of our products. Also maintain adequate contacts to ensure that they are fully involved in our business.
4.3 DISPLAY & MERCHANDISING
v Ensure effective installation, utilization and maintenance of all Display Units.
v En sure high quality product displays in the market through FSO(Field Sales Officer) by training them in proper and creative use of POS & other selling aids.
v Equip self, FSO(Field Sales Officer) with appropriate Sales Bags / Builders and Merchandising Kit for working in the market.
4.4 DISTRIBUTOR MANAGEMENT
v Through FSO(Field Sales Officer) Appoint, Train, Develop and Retain distributors and their representatives in the territory and ensure that their distribution to our business is as per targets/ plan.
v Negotiate, after necessary approvals, with distributors for services and investment in stock levels and market credits.
v Evaluate at regular intervals the services rendered, coverage and distribution gains and financial status of the distributors. Review and discuss with RSM and take corrective actions after necessary approvals.
v Monitor constantly stock and sales of all distributors and take corrective actions, if and as required.
4.5 COMPETITION
v Know major competitive companies and their products, their strengths and weaknesses.
v Check prices and activities of competitors and give feedback to RSM on regular basis with relevant details / samples and local activities to counter competitions.
