How to Engage Employees in Recession when there is no HR Budget for Employee engagement?

Dear Friends and Colleagues. How do we go about keeping the employees engaged and motivated in these times of recession?

At this point of time, upto my knowledge I think Training can be the only active tool to keep employees motivated and keep them ON from Negative’s. For this all the senior management (Team leads/Managers etc...) should have a positive approach in motivating their team members irrespective of knowing the market situations by providing them the technical and soft skills trainings. By doing this it not only helps the employees to motivate oneself but it will be value addition to the organization also.
Looking ahead for some personal experiences from all the users of HR Link !!!!!
