The most often asked question in interviews, be careful that it does not sound rehearsed. Limit it to work-related items. Talk about things you have done and jobs you have held that relate to the position you are interviewing for. Start with the item farthest back and work up to the present.

Highlight

* Your key accomplishments at previous jobs.
* The strengths demonstrated by those accomplishments.
* How these relate to the job for which you’re applying.

Hope I have cleared your doubts....

Thanks & Regards,
Zaman.

many answers of this question .....................but wat actually he want to ask you ............tell me about yourself (what is the working way or style and where you are look yourself because when we are talking about ourself then most of the time we said i don't like this......... i like this and that in that time we told our way and style how we are treat with people avoid this statement what i like , tell him what people likes in you ) .........about salary (he just want know how much you want fly in the sky .............every one want high pay but wat is his actual capacity .
"ab pair failane se chaddar nahi fatati chaadar fail jati hai avoid this thing ki pair utna hi failao jitani chadar ho"
so if you confident then told what is your demand
i m not experienced
here i m just give my view in this competitive world

You should start with the present and tell why you are well qualified for the position. The key is to match your qualifications to what the interview is looking for. You must sell what the buyer is buying. Do a research about the organisation where you have applied for the interview. Ask the interviewer about the important priorities of the position. Later, be sure to illustrate your responsibilities in your current or previous organisation.

Salary - Never bring up salary. let the interviewer do it first. Your response should be that money is important to you but not your main concern. Opportunity and growth are far more important. Do a market reserach and only then quote a figure.
