Hi, All

I switched a company two months back, I in new company I opted for a new EPF account. Now I want to withdraw my deposit in my previous EPF account. My question: Can I myself approach EPF office and get my deposits withdrawn without applying through my ex-employer? Do reply me at the earliest @ kamra.dinesh @gmail.com

You will get a withdrawl from from PF office, you have to get it signed by your ex-employer and has to submit in PF office.

After few days you will get your PF amount.

This is as per my knowledge.

Hello Dinesh,

Like Naga already said .. you can follow the same or , this is how I got my PF amt from previous emp:

- Submitted the PF withdrawal form with the HR along wid Blank cancelled cheq of the Bank a/c to which you want the amt to be transfered

- I got my PF amt credited in 3 months span

But in either case you will have to approach your previous empolyer for the submission of the Form.

Hope this was useful
Regards,
Ashwini

Hi Dinesh
Some more information for u

Please note that the contribution to the PF is a 12% equal contribution made from both the employer and the employee.

12% of the basic pay will be deducted from the employee’s salary every month for PF.
Employer's contribution will be made automatically to the PF account. Also,
the12% employer's contribution includes both PF and Pension funds.
That is, 3.67% - PF fund 8.33% - Pension fund

If the employee wants to claim the whole 12% PF contribution of the employer, he/ she should have worked for more than 6 months in that respective concern.

If not, its only 3.67% from the employer's PF contribution will be refunded to the employee along with his 12% contribution at the time of PF Withdrawal.

If the company knows ur friend then its ok, u can manage saying something. But if they don't know ur friend it will be problem. They won't sign.

I have seen same case.

If any other alternative is there pls let me know.

I have a different query all together. Which is advisable? Withdrawing the PF amount or transfering it to new employer?

How does it affect the pension after you retire?

Hi Dinesh,

For any process, signature of the employer is important. You can submit it directly, but still the department will be sending the form to your Ex-employer for their signature
