Thanks to the Almighty for bestowing us with good companies, good positions and sustainable income, although, the fact being the soaring temperatures and soaring market scenario being the protagonist for the moment, nevertheless, thanks to everything, at least there are many others who have not been hit by the venom called Recession. Lot has been spoken and debated on this particular topic, hence I thought let me not pull the same chord again.

I have a serious concern which I have noticed amongst many a people where they in fact forgetting that basic identity, not the access cards that have been issued by the institutions, rather it is “Smile”.

I at times get convinced that, a virus like cancer is always better than being in an unpleasant work environment because, a cancer can spread only within the effected individual but wherein if an employee feels as if he in the Hitler’s troop that is sure is the end of all success both for the individual and also for the organization

True, that people come to the office to work and they are completely tied with the tight schedules, deadlines and the fear of job continuity. But then, how wise is it, when you encounter a person on the corridor, in the elevator, on the stair case, at the food court, one simply walks away ignoring or turning the face the other side to avoid the former.

The person be a senior most official in the organization or the person who serves you water at your desk, I strongly believe a smiling expression on the face would be more amicable in the work environment, rather positioning oneself as a stern, scrupulous co- worker.

When two people bump on their way, exchanging pleasantries would not cost anything, therefore, if this a fact accepted, why are people forgetting the smile as an important constituent in our professional life?

Now that we already have many people who are actively busy in damaging the national security, peace in lives, and also environment, I fear that the day is not too far that people forget the basic principle of being together, which I strongly suspect that it is already diluted

Every employee is busy at their own levels, worried and thinking about their deadlines shadowing them, why should this shadow be the first one to wake you up from the slumber. Time was then when people used to wonder about the American lifestyle, gossiping on their busy schedules and their weak relationships. Kudos to globalization for being helpful in Americanizing ourselves but it leaves a deep dent for many of us that we are not adopting the basic courtesies that these Americans do follow

Finally, I see that, the hour is not too far where we see jobs for the positions like “Smile Specialist”, “Smile Consultant” in the event people completely turn off the lights on the areas of ‘being friendly with each other and smiling at least once an hour’

I request every reader of this article to support my intention, and spread the same message across your groups so that we ensure not to forget the elementary things in life which are often priceless
