Job Description:



Primary Function

The Build engineer is primary responsible for:

• Development, Maintenance of Build scripts

• Develop, update and fix packages(msi)

• Co-ordinate and execute build and deployment activities

• Development and maintain all installer packages related to Pharmacy applications Ensure daily builds , troubleshoot issues and work with development teams for resolutions

• Co-ordinate development team and be responsible for all of deployment tasks/patches/upgrades liaising with Change management team

• Regularly report status

• Facilitates small to medium sized groups of individuals, representing significant diversity in interest and level of leadership, to a common understanding of a solution.

• Fosters team building and self-driven skill development through active participation in appropriate training, mentoring, and certification programs.

• Consults with subject matter experts and project team members to identify and document potential business and technology solutions,

• Identifies, manages, and tracks business and technical needs objectives throughout the project’s lifecycle.

• Identifies and communicates project issues and risks to the IT and business unit management with suggested mitigation and resolution approach options.

• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of assigned functional domains, and their integrations with other functional domains, while analyzing retail industry trends and researching functional best practices.

• Coordinates project or initiative tasks with relevant team members, stakeholders and leadership.

• Manages day-to-day business interaction and business expectations in relationship to assigned deliverables, with the guidance of functional manager, project manager, and mentor.

• Builds strong relationships with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, functional domain leadership, and other IT disciplines and service teams.



Job Requirements

Education, Certification, and Relevant Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline or;

• 2-6 years relevant work experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams

• Ability to manage competing priorities

• Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications

• Strong skills in Install Shield 11 and 12

• Comprehensive understanding of deployment procedures and methodologies

• Know how of at least one of the SCM tools – CVS, Harvest

• Desired skill : Knowledge of Openmake, HP Open view
