Job Responsibilities:



Become a member of our Software Quality Assurance (SWA) engineering team for our Client's project. SQA Engineers participate in the activities which may include all or some of the following.



Work with the engineering (Development) team members to create test processes, various test specifications, test cases and scenarios for sanity, regression, alpha, beta and production testing of all software (embedded) of VDSL/ADSL products.

Execute software testing and deploy all test procedures. This includes executing test cases as per test specifications, reporting software bugs, track bugs and control build process.

Help with first level debugging of software under test.

Work with the other team leaders and the managers to understand given requirements and deliver the appropriate services to project.

Reports to the Software QA manager.



Experience:

This position ideally requires 3+ years of experience in software, systems and integration testing of software for equipment vendors (XDSL preferred). Should have worked on testing various DSLAMs and its configuration. It requires knowledge of software testing methodologies, automated testing, software release engineering, source control, build processes, bug tracking systems and product-level testing and release to customers. It needs working understanding of various networking technologies such as LAN/WAN, DSL. The candidate must be disciplined in software development processes, have excellent English verbal and written communications skills, a keen mind, self-motivated and respond well to stressful (deadlines) situations, a resounding team player, last but not least results oriented. It requires a BE or equivalent in EE/EC/Telecommunications

Reasonably familiar with Bugzilla, CVS, Windows operating systems, Microsoft office products and such tools.
