Dear All,
Need a clarification on two components: 1. PF and 2. Professional Tax.
The company i work with has now split into two separate companies, but management is the same.
one is Maharashtra registered, and recently in march we registered the second company in AP. Both the companies have a single work location...Hyderabad.
The management receives salaries from both the accounts, but pay professional tax only to Maharashtra registered company, but PF is active in both accounts
I want to know if a employee can have two active PF accounts simultaneously.
Also want to know about the professional tax in this scenario. Why professional tax deducted only from one salary account and not from the other?
Can anyone help me get a clarity on these?
