Dear Seniors And Friends...

Have a Good day...!!!!

I have some doubt in GRATUITY ACT, 1972. Kindly help me….

1. Why the company is giving GRATUITY benefit to the employees?

2. What is use of GRATUITY?

3. Calculation piece-rated employees: @15 days wages for every completed year on an average of 3 months wages.

- What is a piece-rated employee & what’s the sentence mean. Kindly elaborate it????

4. Calculation seasonal employee: @ 7 day wages for every completed year of service.

- What is seasonal employee & what’s the sentence mean. Kindly elaborate it????

5. This is applicable for Govt. or Private employee.

6. As GRATUITY benefit is paid to the employees for their continuous service of 5 years. That means every completed 5 years, the employee eligible for GRATUITY.

7. If an employee is presently working in a company for last 5 years, and before he/she worked two or more companies. His/her total no. of service year is 20 to 25 years. So how the GRATUITY period is calculated????

8. As it mainsation that the employee is working 240 days every year. If he/she will not working minimum of 240 days in a year, how GRATUITY calculate?????

9. Is GRATUITY amount is given by the company or it should be deducted from employee salary???

10. If an employee is completed only 4 year 10 months and he left his job, is he eligible for GRATUITY benefit. If yes then how???? If no then why????
