A Leader with character is one who shows qualities like honesty, integrity, humility and courage. His subordinates and followers look up at him for his confidence and beliefs in strong moral principles, values and code of conduct.

He is in charge of his own life, knows his goal and vision and is committed to see that it materializes. He trains himself to become an effective communicator and has the ability to influence others through his words and actions.

People respect him because he cares and is dependable. Through his character, he is able to reach his goals with the help of others and at the same time help them gain self-confidence and improve self-esteem.

The characters admired in leaders.

Having visions.
Regardless of where your position in life is right now, you need to have visions. If you have cultivated this trait, it is a matter of practicing it in your roles in life. People can tell a person with vision. It shows in the way you handle yourself and your seriousness in committing to growth, change and success.

Discipline and focus.
You show it in your daily disciplines and how you pay attention to daily tasks in order to increase productivity and performance. It is in your focus and commitment in finding solutions and having the courage to take risks.

Having positive qualities and attitude.
People admire and emulate others who exude confidence, are decisive and assertive. Followers move toward leaders who could do remarkable things despite distractions and challenges.

A good communicator.
Your use of language is important. What and how you speak or deliver your message tell others who you are. Learn to use words that impress and inspire others. Words have the power to create emotions and move people to take action.

Honesty.
Exercise honesty and truth in your dealings but pay attention to other people`s feelings and personal values. Make it your way of life in your daily interactions.

Ability to adjust and adapt.
You have to adjust your strategies and reorder your priorities without compromising your principles and values when the need arises. Certain situations warrant different actions and you need to have the capability to change and adapt.

Practice humility.
You do not have to exert control over others with your position. If you want to have an admirable disposition, practice modesty and show consideration. Respect others for what they are and listen to their opinions. Your relationships with people determine your effectiveness in your role.

You can`t fake it because time, events and situations will show if you have it. It takes time to build an admirable disposition. You are not born with it but develop it through training, experiences and a strong vision or desire to become a worthy person to yourself and those around you.
