Condom vending machines to be installed in call centres
Condom Vending Machine
Hyderabad, Sep 12 (IANS) With the HIV/AIDS threat rising to IT companies and call centres, the Andhra Pradesh Sate AIDS Control Society (APSACS) plans to install condom vending machines in their campuses. The authorities have begun approaching call centres and BPO companies to persuade them to install condom vending machines.
`This is under process. The machines will be installed soon,` APSACS project director Chandravadan said Friday in response to a query at a news conference here.
He, however, declined to share the details and said IT companies would not want their names to be made public as this could bring them a bad name.
Experts have warned that the AIDS threat was rising at call centers, where young employees are increasingly having unprotected sex with multiple partners in affairs developed during nights shifts.

This is height of explored version of sex crime and indecent behaviour in the professional society, doing this we cant talk of corporate culture, corporate social responsiblity and other factors like QWL and etc. What face do they show when corporate people want to bring this unhealthy practise which sometime urges even a normal person to involve in sex activities....????
Please stop this sort of plans to tarnish the image of country and society and so called professionals.

This is ridiculous. Instead of curbing this practice, we are giving them an opportunity. Lets be very clear what we want and what we want to stop. We don`t want a rotten corporate environment. There should be a strong company policy which says "you are here for job, not to loose it".

Humble request to HR`s who work in BPO & Call centre... Ignore keeping condom vending machines.... coz it shows tht the organisation is encouraging sexual activities inside the office.

Is it the way to Promote a new Information !!! So Working in the Night Shift Is pulling this much Right !!! They can do one thing .. They can pull out the Licence of that particular company alone .. Not By keeping this Machine and Bringing Our Culture so Cheap ... Never Allow this ...

I really don`t appreciate this idea. Are companies providing the youth an opportunity to work and develop their careers or indulge in such activities? Just because you can`t stop certain things doesn`t mean you need to encourage them by providing such means. I believe its the responsibility of the senior management along with the human resources to decide what is required for the empoyees to sustain the night shifts? The last thing we want to see on employee motivation list is alcohol and cigarette vending machines.

Result is going to be: 100% Prevention of Disease, 100% encouragement of mis-behaviour & think about the Work Productivity presentage.
