Answering to some of your questions:
I want to know what is your take on the term Competency Framework.
- Basically Competency Framework means the various conceptual framework or models pertaining to understanding competencies framed for each organization.
Many organizations have adpoted different framework like the Behaviourial Framework or Functional Framework or Leadership Framework....
Normally A Competency Dictionary will give you a Common Conceptual Framework either
What are the different approaches/methods to do it ?
The different Methods and approaches mostly used to conduct Competency Mapping Exercise and which our company has exeprience in are : Role play, In basket Exercise, Group Discussion, Psychometirc Testing, Case Analysis and Interpretation and one to one interaction ( for role based Competencies)
In what ways is it helpful ?
Its helpful in many ways for an organization in Recruitment, in Training, in interviews, Job rotation, succession planning too..........
