Hi Vani,
Appreciate your inclination! It's a good idea to complete while continuing job.
IGNOU offers Ph.D, you can check out in it's website. Similarly, few universities with their distance education wing do have M.Phil & Ph.D (though rare).
Most of the Universities do allow working professionals to enroll for Ph.D (some call external registration, some call Part Time.....). What is required is to get introduced to a Sr.Professor/Lecturer and have discussed your area(s) of interest. If he/she is ready, you can go ahead and register for Ph.D under him/her. Yes, you should keep in mind that some Universities have pre-qualification test for PhD seat.
Good wishes,
Paramananda

Hi Vani,
Good Idea, Why dont you try in TISS ie Tata Institute of Social Science Mumbai. They offer PHD in HR on various topics. The total cost of doing PHD would be something around 2 to 3 lakhs from Mumbai, and if you are trying to do from local university it should cost something around 4 to 5 lakhs. Direct PHD is allowed only in institutes,. If you are doing from university that preference will be given if you have Mphil first. The prospectus for PHD at Christ College Bangalore is Rs,2500+ you can imagine the fees then.

Hi...
You have taken good decision for doing PhD.
I hope rather than doing PhD in distance mode it is better to do in regular mode, i hope the same time will sufficient to do PhD in regular mode. Now there are plenty of universities are offering PhD courses through entrance examination.
And also UGC NET, very shortly it going to announce JR F for PhD. If you qualify in this you will get Asst. Prof Job and as well as during your work you will get monthly amount of 18,000/- pm for the research work.
I hope there are lot of works has to be done HRD side because HR profession is not recognized like Medicine, Engineering, and Other professional courses.
Because lack awareness and also lack of empirical scientific works. and one more major reason is; it is taken first breath just 30 years ago only....
