Essential Skills (Primary Skills)

1. High level of Unix/Linux admin skills (RedHat Enterprise Linux, Solaris)

2. Working with vendors like NetApp in troubleshooting issues

3. Very good with NetApp technologies, Configuring NetApp boxes like the FAS6000 & FAS3000 series, Strong ONTAP fundamentals

4. Good working knowledge of Aggregates, volumes, raid groups, qtrees, quotas, exports, Mirroring technologies like snapmirror & snapvault, Advanced troubleshooting skills

5. Shell scripting, Perl scripting

6. Good to have Backup software skills

Symantec Netback up software

Configuring of backup policies

Scheduling of backup & restore jobs

Working knowledge of Quantum libraries
