Dear all,

First of all I am a new user for this HR Link. I have more than 6 yrs of exp. in HR. We are planning to open 1 branch in Bangalore, which comes under Karnataka shop establishment also Professional Tax applicable there.

I want to know about entire Professional tax from starting(registration) till end.

if salary is more than 15000k then 200 is applicable.

My question: is 200 deduction from employee side only or from employer side also.

Can we show 200 part of CTC Breakups.

REgards,

Kunal Kumar

Dear Mr.Kunal,

First let me clarify you one thing very clearly about P Tax

This is vary from one state to another.

More over the recent amendment regd P Tax is applicable only in AP, if I am not wrong.

As you mentioned about P Tax at BLR location, slab might be different from AP Govt.

So, pls go to the concerned website of Karnataka Commercial Tax Dept and see the latest guidelines. So that you will know how to do it.

P Tax will be deducted from employee portion only.

But it's part of CTC of an individual.

This will be calculated only on the earned gross of personnel from their monthly salary.

Hope you got the answer for your query.
