I have a requirement for Senior Technical Specialist at Pune location and the key skills are as follows:



GENERAL DESCRIPTION

8+ years plus experience in Business Objects Data Integrator XI (Windows NT or greater)



Candidate must be able to follow program specifications to write, test, debug, document, and implement complex Batch jobs and Real time jobs to extract data from a variety of data sources, transform the data, and load the data to specified destinations using Data Integrator XI (ETL). Candidate will be part of the BI/DW team working in the implementation of SAP Rapid Marts. Candidate will work on multiple tasks related to ETL development using Business Objects Data Services (previously known as Data Integrator) with emphasis on modifying ETL jobs; fine tuning jobs for better performance; configuring and managing the BO Data Services Development and Production environments; documenting sustainment processes; collaborating

with DBAs to fine tune performance of Rapid Marts.



Strong, hands on experience is required developing ETL code using Business Objects Data Services (previously known as Data Integrator), as well as strong understanding of SQL. Experience installing and configuring Data Services (previously known as Data Integrator) as well as setting up SAP Rapid Marts is a requirement.



Experience in cleansing data in DI using proper data types and mappings. Ability to create Workflows using object library and tool palette to execute data flows. Experience in creating and administering the metadata Data Integrator repository in a multi user environment. Experience in publishing batch jobs and real time services via web services using Data Integrator Administrator. Experience in implementation of Recovery Mechanism for unsuccessful batch jobs execution. Strong skills with SQL to perform Complex Selects, Updates, Inserts, and Deletes on database tables. Proficient in performance tuning.



Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for the candidate to be successful in this role.



WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- The role of the Data Integrator developer is to work within a small development team to deliver ETL solutions utilising Business Objects Data Integrator (BODI).

- Strong Leadership qualities and a self starter with excellent Oral and Written Communication skills. Ability to work independently on projects.

- Team Player with excellent inter-personal skills. Experience with Data Warehousing Solutions. Knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products, Knowledge of FTP is required. Knowledge of Erwin Data modeling software is a plus. knowledge of XML,message queues. Hands on experience with DI designer XI. Must have BODI Rapidmart implimentation experience . Knowledge of BODI Web Administrator an advantage. Knowledge of DI Central Repository Source Control. Knowledge of Attunity ODBC advantageous. Knowledge of Data Connect ODBC advantageous

- Strong hands-on Erwin data modeling tool experience- other tools are a plus, but ERWIN experience is required

- Strong experience working with a range of RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server)

- Strong experience with SQL query and RDBMS tuning

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BS in computer science

10+ years Experience with ETL development, experience with SAP R/3 , EDI development big plus

SAP Rapid marts experience i

10+ years experience in IT Development
