Kindly clear my below mentioned queries :-
1) If a company does not have ESIC so is Maternity act applicable to us ???
2) Medical bonus of Rs.250/- is given in all the three months .i.e. each month Rs.250 or only one tym during maternity leave.
3) Is maternity applicable to all i.e. even at managerial level ???
4) Since we come under Shop and Estd Act do we require to maintain Register or any such thing for maternity leave.
5) If the female employee has not has not completed 1 yr but is confirmed staff is she eligible for maternity pay benefits and leave.

2. The Medical bonus is given for all three month. (See Section 5 of the said act For the duration& Section * for the payment)
in some cases
(a)to raise the medical bonus payable under the said act from Rs. 250/- to 1000/- and
(b) to give powers to the central government to revise medical bonus from time to time subject to a maximum of Rs. 20000.
