For as long as the history of mankind can be traced back, all studies of human behavior have come to agree that the one question, the one predicament, the one puzzle of life seems to stem from man's inability and constant struggle to make meaning out of his interaction with the external world, and reconcile his experiences with his internal world of feelings, impulses, tendencies and instincts.
All of the study of mankind, all branches of philosophy and psychology, and even psychoanalysis spin around in circles, expending their efforts in unriddling this mystery through reason.
I have come to realize that it is all futile. That delusion is better than reason. That love is better than all reason.
All culminates in love. It seems to be the one answer to all of human quandary.
These are a few lines on unrequitted love from a longer poem called Evangeline written by H.W. Longfellow.
Their message is that if you have loved and lost, you haven't lost. You needn't despair. What is given out comes back to the source in one way or another.
