Type: HR, Report if not a HR topic
Posted 17-02-2009Reply
This has been a tough time for everyone in IT. Lay off - being uncommon in Indian Scenario has had multiple effects for the effected employees. They need to face financial, psycological and social challenges.
Could you suggest some tips to deal with such people? As a part of HRG we are sure to face people running through this situation. Could we also suggest practical possibilities for them to turn the situation?
Dear Rashmi,
Greeting!
(1)Make plan and regular monitoring on Financial Controll apart from Legal compliances; is Cost cutting on Transportation, Electricity,Photocopies (make use of saving internet file instead of all get printed),Canteen related etc.
(2) HRM; Focuse on minimizing in recruitment of Casual or contact workers including HK-housekeeping,
(3) Above All what HRM defines"Maximum Utilization of Existing Resources!"
If any further querries.............write me bhardwaj.ch[at]gmail
(4) Make all employees aware by using Notice Board and put Note on Layoffs in IT industry by which staff will automatically understand and yes, make their rejob settlement as its also an important of HRD. Give full compansation to those how would be Laied OFF.
