While, there were leaders in history who have fought and won wars and have ruled multiple nations. I feel, Indians are very emotional people and they get emotionally attached to their work methods (which make them difficult to make any alterations) hence they appear rigid, they get emotionally attached with people around them (which make them overlook the weaknesses of those) and hence they tend to feel guilty of hurting them. This is a part of cultural preaching which needs redefining and redesigning by newer generations of parents and managers and leaders.
I feel, Indians need to work on their working personalities, they are
1. Focused but not in a planned way
2. More focused on the future rather than present
3. Putting all their energy in concentrating on the results rather than thinking of multiple ways for success
4. Not carrying a winning attitude, they have a habit of keeping the worst thing in mind but fail to have a plan B to support it.
