Has anybody participated for Stepathlon 2012?

My company is having us enrolled in a corporate wellness initiative called Stepathlon. The introductory mail sent to us seemed very exciting. Apparently this is the second season of the virtual race and participants have to complete 10,000 steps a day for 100 days.
Now 10,000 seems a lot. Want to know if any one of you participated for Stepathlon 2012 and how was your experience?
Even I am participating in the Stepathlon race this year.I have heard that 10000 steps in a day is not a big task and people achieve it.
But it is not that much, other teams may have members who always exceed 10000 steps and then we have to compete them.
What is the worry when it is a win-win situation either ways.
