We're excited to announce an improved, faster, and easier-to-navigate shared items feature on HR Link.

1. Speed - Faster and Easier Navigation:

When your contacts share HR News, HR Forum Topics, HR Jobs, Videos, Photos, etc., you're alerted through a box that springs up from the bottom right of your screen (Footer Bar Box).

Until now, it's slow to navigate these items. When you click "next" or "previous," there is latency that results in several seconds of wait time for each click which translates to several minutes a day.

Now, the navigation is so fast and easy that you would hardly notice moving to the next or previous item on the shared items list. This would save several thousand hours of precious time.

Worldwide, HR Link is probably the first website to have this Footer Bar instant-navigation feature.

2. Blocking Shared Items:
Earlier, you could block only one member at a time from sharing items with you. Now you can block or unblock multiple members at a time.

3. Separation of Professional and Other Shared Items:

Now you get to decide what items you want to see - Professional or Other - irrespective of what has been shared with you.

We believe this would be beneficial and time saving, especially for those members who would prefer to see only professional items and avoid looking at other items like self-help, motivational, entertainment, fun, humor, etc.

By default, the box is configured to show "Both" items. You can update this setting from "Both" to "Professional" and vice versa any time, using the following link:

Moreover, separate links have been placed on the Footer Bar and Footer Bar Box to see Professional and Both items.

4. Tangents - Please Report Other / Fun Topics posted as Professional:

We have covered the product tangent. That fulfills only 1/3 of the purpose of this implementing this feature. So, to make it complete, we request you to take care of the "community" and "content" tangents by reporting the "other / fun" items posted as "professional" items.

Your reporting will not appear in the activity feed, so other members would not know you reported it. Please report proactively.

5. Beta / Errors and Bugs / Your Feedback
This feature has just been released, still in Beta. Please take time to report any errors or bugs and put up with any inconvenience while we fix them.
