I guess very few men will really give the credit for women for what they are.
They know that a woman helps them in all ways, a modern day woman is a homemaker takes care of kids and husband and also brings home a financial package in spite of all this very few men will appreciate their spouse for what they are, in the heart of hearts they know but to accept it their ego does not permit them to.

Anyways nice topic to share ,Woman is worth a lot more than she really gets....

Yes, every woman looks for a man who can lead her, who can judge the situations, understand her, take care of her in order to be taken care of.
share her deepest emotions, help her in bringing up the kids, share her tensions...

Even today's woman would not hesitate to be submissive, though she is well educated, earns her comfort & can handle her life all alone, but, yet, she can be submissive, if the guidance & care of a man is not mistaken & over shadowed by his "ego" & "dominance"... There is a fine line between leading & demanding...


Hope for a better time, for both men & women, to understand & live with the delicate ways they have been created, instead of having conflicts & trying to change those...

YES, Indeed I agree...No one was born to be submissive to any other...

But this is the way it has been, it is & it will be...its by nature, something which has got so common that no one objects to it...or atleast thinks to find it strange !!!

-- A girl will change her name when she is married !
-- She should resign, relocate or even stop her career because of her husband's job's location or family reasons!
-- Kids get their father's name! even though she raises them up ! :)
-- Man gets the rights to chose the country, city or even place to live !
-- In case of different religion or citizenship, the lady should change hers according to the man's.
-- A woman is much more restricted in many ways than a man ( thats the way it is...)


I am not arguing on this matter, just said what is there around us, there is no point to dream of something which is "not real"

I wish there were more men with your way of thinking...atleast "think"...I see it very far to get that dream into a practical reality !!! unfortunately,

No matter how much a woman grows, educates, reach to the higher levels career wise, she still remains a woman ! a lady who keeps everything else aside, because of her family, her husband, her kids...everything else, her dreams, her ambitions, her talents, her career, her happiness...even her own self !

I fully agree with and edorse the views expressed by you.See, men and women are born as equal and at the time of birth of Adam and Eve this kind of dominant and submissiveness was not there.Men used to hunt and Women used to prepare the food and attend all the daily chores and from this the actual submissiveness has cropped up and this is continuing even now which is not correct.

When you open a magazine, open a web site or switch on a television what do you see first.Glorification of women's body and nothing else.She will be shown as dud without any brains and men always shown as stronger, intelligent and dynamic.Women are always being shown as centre of desire who fulfills the desires of men.Why?Whoever watches this women will get the feeling that women are submissive than men and they are less worthier than men.Then due to this cultural invasion all start treating women in similar way everywhere in real life also like brainless,unintelligent and pleasure givers.Who is responsible for this? Governments'? Men? or Society? Why women should get such kind of raw deal?Why????????

I agree with all of your views like why women should change her name after marraige and why her children do not get her name.Yes these are the differences created by ourselves and each and every one is responsible for this including those who has written our ancient scriptures and shown men as dominant instead of showing them as equal in all including great mythologies.

Compromise,Adjustments and sacrifices are inevitable as long as there are financial transactions in a relationship between man and a woman.The property sharing issues and dowry evil and what not is responsible to make women submissive.There should be no commercial transactions between both.Once these finances play a key role than the whole relationship gets spoiled.

Moreover,Why people still believe that having a girl child as a sin in many parts of India? Why most of the people stop her from studying once she attained the age of puberty?Why women are being 'purchased' by men in the name of dowry?These remain as answerless questions.

There is lot more to share and I sincerely feel that this is not the right kind of forum to share all these things.

I once again thank you Diana for all your views with which I agree and accept whole heartedly.
