Dear All,

I work with a domestic BPO.

We often face many health related issues and hence we are planning to initiate a doctor on call service/facility in our organisation.

Please guide me on how to go about initiating this service.

Are there any specific policies to be followed?

If we intend to tie up with a hospital, then how do we go about it??

On what lines can a new policy be framed?

It will be appreciative to receive help/suggestions from you all.

Thanks & Regards,

Jagrutii

Hi Jagruthi,

This sounds good ... I would like to know more about the policies regarding this arrangement, if there are any...

Hope members who are using this facility can share their experiences...

With the latest development and the success of implementing telemedicine and tele-health services, doctors on call are more often the right solution for an immediate interactive consultation.

Communication for healthcare services through a call system offers access to quality medical services to people not only from urban population but also for rural areas, where it wasn’t available previously. It can also alleviate prohibitive travel and associated costs for patients.

You can easily include as specialties: internal medicine, pediatrics, family practice, preventive medicine, cardiology, neurology, psychiatry and pharmacy.

“Doctors on call” rely on their communication skills, knowledge of disease processes, and normal growth and development for all age groups in order to provide quality and accurate diagnosis only by described symptoms.
This program has although its limitations relying only on interpreting described symptoms.
It also needs to assure its clients (patients) about the security of their personnel data and their medical charts.

For specific details about a similar program, regarding "doctor on call" policy framework follow this link:

Hi.. Jagruti,

Your idea on Doctor on call is very good, But doctors are not ready to work and not ready to pick call, so you can contact expert IT person or consultancy to make software according to your need to communicate customers well by " Customer service"

Dear,

We are taking care of health issue of our employee but not as on call doctor. We have consult one doctor for all employee. Whenever any employee has join we are giving one visit with our consult doctor. Doctor will take note each and every detail of that candidate (from blood group to allergy)

and we are taking contact number of employee's family doctor so on time of emergency consult doctor and that family doctor coordinate and take care of employee's health.

and First Aid box is always there for primary treatment.
