Childhood is the most important phase of one’s life and it provides a platform to get understanding and difference between right or wrong, good or bad, under the continuous guidance of the parents. Childhood is the stage where an individual learns and perform his actions accordingly without any prejudice towards an individual, process or association. It is generally observed that the percentage of ego is negligible among the children.

As per the common proverb” Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it”. The same applies to humans at both personal and individual levels. The moment they depart from it at any age of life, it creates a different world for them contrary to the “Kingdom of heaven”. At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

On family terms, correlation can be made to above statement. Child demands love and in return, he has the same for all in contacts. Often at home, children gets scolded due to some reason or the other but that does not mean that it lessens the love, it fact it is required to make him learn a lesson out of it. So, humans should have their mentors in the form of parents, teachers, peers’ and last but not the least bosses at work. Until unless one would not behave as a child, chances of finding a true mentor will be very less.

Since organization is a group of individuals of different age and varied attributes. It is observed that experienced pool of resources is unsuccessful to behave as a child with the younger ones, result is of which mislead the objective and create dissatisfaction among the young crowd. At the same time, younger ones are intolerant and impatient with regard to certain issues. In such scenario, superior or mentors have to redefine themselves to get along with younger crowd inculcated through purity, transparency and empathy.

In fact, our history itself witnesses the fact that being as a child in oneself minimizes the generation gap. Late Shri. Jawaharlal Nehru was among one of those people and that’s why, we celebrate 14th November as “Children’s day”. Also, since a child learns out of his environment, similarly, we also have to learn to operate both in personal and professional life to excel in different situations.

One fact about childhood is that a child performs everything under the guidance of parents, similarly, we at workplace and in personal life requires a guidance and support on critical issues, so directly indirectly; we humans are bound to behave a child at every stage of life.

Contrary, Child often behaves subconsciously and gets punished for his wrong actions and he admits it at last, but the adults sometimes consciously does wrong actions out of frustration, ego and jealously and at last they don’t admit the same in spite of the knowing fact about the same. This itself making one depart from the childhood.

At last, childhood is God’s gift to every human life on this earth and we must retain the same up till the last breathe, as purifies our soul and spirit.
