Dear All
HR manager is a down to earth,empathatic person who has bunch of experience in his hands and who knows beats of each and every employee.. With his experience he should be able to find out probs of employees and effectively communicates to the management and solve it. He should so convincing in his communication that employee can actually share anything with him.
As far as knowledge is concerned, he should have worked on all the activities happening in HR but mostly should now as a HR manager he should be more involved in policies, strategies, cost management,resource allocation,forecasting and retension. He should be able to take more initiatives in terms of growth of company as well as employees.
These are my thoughts.Others can add on this.
