Thomson Reuters, Bangalore 3–5 Yrs Share this jobThe incumbent has to take care of Payroll for all unit staff including the administration of all social security and staff insurance issues, staff taxes, and the financial accounting and, in some countries, administration of the pension plan
Staff satisfaction and the assistance in a wide range of staff issues in liaison with HR is the main contribution to the overall business objectives. Larger versions of this role (Level 1) are likely to be working in larger countries/regions and have experience
Processes one or more of the following: new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays; maintains vacation, sick leave and worker`s compensation records; compiles reports on base and premium pay; posts entries to journals and ledgers; prepares tax deposits and reports; generates and distributes checks; and researches and produces special reports
Assists compensation staff in data gathering for compensation survey inputs
Maintenance of standing payroll data,
monthly payroll runs
handling of various tax allowances,
administering of all share option plans, staff taxes, social security, staff insurances, accounting and administration for the Pension Plan
It is expected that the timing and the coordination of all tasks is handled within local and group deadlines, that all work done is tax and legal compliant and handled with a minimum of supervision
Relevant finance, HR and payroll related qualification and/or experience is essential with experience working in a shared services environment will be an advantage
Relevant exposure to processing payrolls in a multi-national environment
Work knowledge of payroll providers and relevant payroll processing software
Good problem solving skills
Proven ability to form strong customer relationships, an understanding of customer focus and service delivery
