To provide an HR service which supports the strategies of Menzies Aviation and Mumbai Ground Handling through facilitating change, organisational development and the implementation of policies and procedures which comply with all legislation and regulations governing the employment of people
In addition to managing a comprehensive recruitment and personnel administration service to meet the needs of the business, present and future
Duties involve Policies and Procedures
Work strategically with the CEO/GM HR-India
Actively manage corporate and local initiatives and projects on a broad range of HR related subjects
Recommend and direct in the development of policy and procedure on all aspects of HR management and practice that reflects legislation and other regulations, current best practice of HR management
Regularly review administration and record system manual and computing, seeking to constantly improve overall efficiency
Assist in the preparation of Indian Employment Tribunal Cases, representing the Company where appropriate
Define KPI and reporting procedures/systems to be implemented in the Company to provide required information and statistical data
Monitor the implementation of policy and usage of HR procedures within the Mumbai-division
Review and update in light of practice, the changing needs of the Company and the requirements of legislation
Contribute to effective corporate communication strategies by maximising the use of available technologies, including electronic mail, network bulletin boards/intranet and by ensuring HR department output follows and encourages and agreed corporate style
Contribute to/conduct negotiations with Trade Union in conjunction with appropriate managers on pay, terms and conditions and procedural matters
Ensuring that all negotiations fall within the agreed parameters
Contribute to/conduct effective employee transfers, referring to current legislation
Develop and implement effective processes and procedures for recruitment and personnel administration, which comply with current legislation and best practice guidelines
Review administration of the referencing process to ensure compliance with Indian and Regional regulations
Department Management
Apply good management practices to appraise, coach and encourage both direct reports the operational management team, provide new opportunities and challenges to increase knowledge and broaden experience
Ensures that all staff has the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their jobs well
Ensures that all provisions of Health & Safety legislation and any other legislation and regulations governing the work of staff of the department are fully complied with
Customer Service
Contribute to business planning and policy development with particular regard for the personnel aspects
Inform, educate and provide advice for key personnel of the necessary actions to take in order to comply with current personnel legislation, best practice guidance, company policy and work ethic
Analyse KPI results and communicate key findings to the operational management team, recommending actions where appropriate
Monitor internal customer perception through feedback at management meetings and anecdotal evidence, taking actions as appropriate
Develop and monitor customer service levels with particular regard to requests for information
Promote throughout the Group the service offered by the HR department
Finance
Assist the CEO/ GM HR - India in determining annual budgets and oversee the control of department expenditure thereafter
Recommend levels of remuneration and terms & conditions of employment that are consistent with attracting the right people to the Company, that give fair relationships between jobs and that optimise the long term "productivity" of each job
